    Yes, there was a Singapore team in the National Basketball League.

    It seems they were an expansion or relocation team from Canberra and then from the Hunter Valley. They played between 2006 and 2008.

    Seems like the international travel costs were a foreboding for the global financial crisis.

    As of 2009-10, the Slingers play in the ASEAN Basketball League.
